Imprint Press

imprint press

Active from 2007-2009 Imprint Press was a publishing project dedicated to limited edition image and text collaborations. The project resulted in two handmade edition chapbooks that paired visual artists with poets.

Brethren: Order of the Seasons, published in fall of 2007, binds a long prose poem by Robert Strong in batik covers made by Peter Yumi. Each book comes in a handmade batik envelope featuring a polyacrylic resin inlay. Printed in an edition of 50 copies, the book was set in Centaur typeface and was bound by hand.

"but even now I am perhaps not speaking," published in spring of 2009 features a series of poems by Kate Greenstreet and collages by Ashley Lamb. The cover of each book features a unique collage and is bound in pressed paper. Printed in an edition of 100 copies, the book was set in Garamond typeface and was bound by hand.
